Announcing the 2010 COUNSELORS VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Jean Mier-Bolinger, AWC of The Taunus

As a heartfelt acknowledgement to the former FAWCO, FAWCO Foundation and FAUSA presidents, The Foundation is paying tribute to their leadership and spirit of volunteerism by dedicating the 2010 “Volunteer of the Year” Award to them.  To honor this dedication, The Foundation announces the COUNSELORS Volunteer of the Year Award. This is a FAWCO Member Award. Member Awards recognize the diverse lives of our members, their achievements and their never-ending quest for knowledge and self improvement.

Each year FAWCO Club members dedicate thousands of hours of their time to assisting individuals and organizations in need of a helping hand.  These volunteers frequently play key roles in the success of schools, libraries, and organizations dedicated to children, the elderly, the homeless, the hungry and the abused.  The FAWCO Foundation Board wants to honor this dedication through the Counselors Volunteer of the Year Award. In any given year, the Counselors may choose to name this award in the memory of or in honor of a FAWCO club member or FAUSA member who has performed distinguished service to FAWCO, The FAWCO Foundation or FAUSA. The recipient will be awarded $1,000 to be donated to the club charity of his or her choice.
