The
2009 Development Grant Program
General Requirements
- Any FAWCO member club in good standing may nominate up to two (2) projects for a 2009 Development Grant.
- FAUSA may submit up to two (2) nominations for a 2009 Development Grant.
- A project that has received a FAWCO Foundation Development Grant may not be proposed again for three years. For example a 2007 recipient may not be submitted again until 2010
- A nominated project that did not receive a FAWCO Foundation DG in the past may be re-nominated by submitting the 2009 forms.
- For a project to be considered, the nominating club must have been involved with the project for at least one year.
Nomination Process
- Scroll down to the bottom of this page and click
on nomination
form.
- Complete the nomination form.
- Upon completion of the application, you will be
asked to click "submit". This will automatically
submit your application to the Development Director.
- On the resulting "success" page, please
complete the checklist. This will go a long way to
ensuring that you have completely and correctly filled
out the application form.
- Download the completed nomination form. Save it
to your computer file. Print one copy of the nomination
form and the checklist.
- Please get your club’s president to sign the
checklist.
- Mail the completed nomination form and signed checklist
along with any photos and brochures from your project
by the January 16, 2009 deadline

- Please print one copy of your nomination application. It must be signed and mailed via postal mail to the Development Grants Administrator. The deadline for receiving this signed document is January 30, 2009.
The Balloting Process
- After the application deadline the Applications
Review Committee will examine each application to
insure that they are complete and correct.
- All correct and completed proposals will be placed
on the ballot. A summary of each proposal will be
available on the FAWCO Foundation website.
- Each FAWCO Rep of Member Clubs in good standing
will receive a ballot by email attachment in February.
Clubs should vote for one proposal in each category.
The recipients will be determined by a simple majority
vote.
- Votes may posted via email or Reps may also
bring their Club’s ballot to the FAWCO Conference
in Seoul. Look for more details about voting on the
website in January 2008!
Since The FAWCO Foundation Development
Grants program began, over $200,000 has been donated to
72 projects diligently serving the needs of women and
children worldwide.
