FOUNDATION DREAM CRUISE- LET THE MAGIC BEGIN

The “DREAM CRUISE” came into being and the challenge began June of 2005. Our departure date is just around the corner so it is now time to wave the magic wand and revel of few of the magical moments that we shall all take part in on board.

Our theme is the sea; may the wonders of the sea, sun, wind and coasts be with us for the next seven days.

During our two scheduled moments of so called “work time” you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps with a short power point presentation. As the saying goes, “seeing is believing”. Our ship the “Fortuna” has brought us good fortune, as we are very pleased to have two camp volunteers who shall share a few moments with us of their extraordinary stories regarding their own personal experiences as camp volunteers. They are mother daughter team Dolores Schilling and Joanna de Castro Schilling both members of AWC of Madrid.

Immediately following will be the distribution of goodie bags not only for the ladies but also for the children and men alike! All passengers will receive a coupon for our give-away-raffle at this meeting. So be sure to attend.

At our second meeting our give-away raffle shall be held. You may be asking yourself what that is exactly. Let me tell you that it is a very magical raffle for three very important reasons; first you do not need to purchase a ticket, everyone will have one and it’s FREE, second everyone is a winner and third all gifts have been generously donated. What could be more magical than that!

Our itinerary has two ports of call which are the homes of two FAWCO sister clubs, they are Naples and Barcelona. FAWCO Rep Tricia Reynolds along with other members of AWC Naples will give us a walking tour through the characteristic streets of their city. Foundation President Arline Coward, FAWCO Rep Gewn Perry with some of their membership shall be hosting a late afternoon meet & greet moment before heading back to the ship.

Due to the generosity of our sponsors I think the planning committee with just have to give out all kinds of gifts and surprises all week long. And we couldn’t possibly have a dream cruise without helping our guests celebrate some very special occasions such as birthdays and wedding anniversaries could we? I think not.

I have tried my best to keep my promises of making this your “DREAM CRUSE. I believe I have said almost it all now, so at this time my wish to each and every one of you is that you may embrace the mood of the moment, which will make every day of your journey unique.

HAPPY SAILING and see you on September 24th in port as I will be welcoming you on board myself.
